History

GD is a pioneer in the field of "Laboratory Equipment, Laboratory Furniture/ Workstations, Fume Hoods and Fume Extraction Systems". Founded in 1924, traditionally, GD was in the field of marketing Laboratory equipment of reputed foreign manufacturers like James A. Jobling & Co (Pyrex)–USA (laboratory glassware), C. Reichert-Austria (Microscopes), August Sauter KG-Germany (Balances), American Optical Co.- USA (Microscopes), Precision Scientific Co.- USA (Ovens, Incubators), Whatman -UK (Filter Paper)  and  Carl Zeiss Jena – Germany for over 40 years for their range of Medical, Astronomical, Analytical Instruments and Planetariums.

 

Since 1979, GD devoted this considerable knowledge and expertise to the manufacture of high quality steel Laboratory Furniture Systems/ Workstations and Fume Hoods, marketed under the brand name LABEXCEL (for Laboratory Excellence). For the first time in India, GD brought the concept of ‘modularization’ for ‘Laboratory Engineering’ into Indian Laboratories. We are able to supply consistently high quality Laboratory Furniture, Fume Hoods and allied equipment which are the preferred choice of the discerning scientific community.

 

GD has its "Corporate Office" in Vadodara, (Gujarat, India) with other strategically located Branch Offices at Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. In Vadodara, GD has ultra modern 50,000 sq. feet manufacturing facilities with its specialized capabilities in sheet-metal-processing and automatic powder coating. GD has the right blend of people today to offer the most appropriate solutions related to Laboratory Design, Layout, Furnishing and Fume Extraction. In order to provide a complete service for the laboratory, we now offer highly specialised laboratory planning and designing services, engineering services, ideally suited for the laboratory construction process. Our Design Cell meets the demands of the laboratory with a level of safety and energy efficiency rarely achieved by the general practitioner of engineering. Our Design Cell is a consortium of experienced engineering personnel with wide experience of laboratory designing and planning. We work closely in conjunction with Owners, Projects people, Architects and Consultants to ensure smooth and trouble-free commissioning of laboratory projects.  For the optimum benefit, we get involved from the beginning of the conceptual design phase and offer our expertise in preparation of the Laboratory Layout, Fume Hood selection and positioning and also various testing services.
